Ben Andrews

Mr. Andrews joined Newport Capital Partners in 2014 and is a Principal and serves as Head of Investments. In this capacity, he is primarily responsible for the sourcing, acquisition, leasing, and disposition of investment transactions, and is a member of the Investment Committee. Additionally, he shares responsibility with the other NCP Principals on the Firm’s investment strategy, operations, risk management, capital markets, and investor relationships.
Mr. Andrews has nearly 20 years of commercial real estate experience including 16 years dedicated to the retail sector. Prior to joining NCP, he was Senior Vice President with commercial real estate advisory firm Sperry Van Ness (now SVN). During his tenure, Mr. Andrews led the retail sales and leasing team and conducted transactions in multiple markets across central U.S. He was consistently recognized as a top advisor amongst the firm’s 1,500+ team. Prior to SVN, he was with The Staubach Company (merged with JLL in 2008) and advised notable clients such as Citibank, McDonalds, and Tesla on retail acquisitions, dispositions, and tenant representation. Previously, Mr. Andrews was Real Estate Director with ACA Financial LLC responsible for leasing and opening 200+ retail stores across 25 states. He began his career with Williamson Picket Gross and conducted leasing, tenant representation, and property management in New York City.
Mr. Andrews received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Trinity College. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), and a supporter of nonprofit organization Misericordia Heart of Mercy.
