PORTFOLIO TAKEOVER ASSIGNMENT
In 2012 Newport Capital Partners was awarded a portfolio takeover assignment on behalf of five City of Chicago Pension Plans. Newport took over the DV Urban Realty Partners Fund I portfolio and has restructured, worked out and realized the entire portfolio while mitigating exposure to the limited partners. This included the $82 million ground up development of a multi-tenant, Mariano’s Grocery anchored project, located at 3030 North Broadway in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. Newport has fully liquidated the DV Urban Portfolio.
