Stuart Brackenridge

Mr. Brackenridge joined Newport Capital Partners in 2020 and is Managing Director of Investments. In this capacity, he is primarily responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and structuring of investment transactions. Additionally, he collaborates with other team members on investment strategy, capital markets, and portfolio management.
Mr. Brackenridge has over 27 years of commercial real estate experience including 23 years focused on grocery-anchored and shopping center retail sector. Prior to joining Newport, he was Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Crow Holdings where he sourced value add retail investments and managed a portfolio of retail properties across five states. Prior to Crow Holdings, Mr. Brackenridge was Senior Vice President of Acquisitions with Los Angeles-based Westwood Financial. As Head of Acquisitions, he was primarily responsible for identifying and evaluating retail investments and placement of debt. Previously, he spent 19 years with Regency Centers, a publicly-traded retail REIT (NASDAQ: REG). During his tenure as Vice President of Transactions, Mr. Brackenridge underwrote and conducted due diligence on over $500 million of grocery-anchored shopping center investments and in excess of $400 million in strategic dispositions. As Vice President of Investment Services, he worked closely with the firm’s CFO and directed acquisitions, development, re-development, and corporate reporting efforts.
Mr. Brackenridge received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Management from the University of North Texas and his Master of Science in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a supporter and volunteer with the YMCA.
